About
Jessica Gui was born in 2010 and she is an accomplished young pianist with numerous awards and performance achievements in both the United States and internationally. She has received recognition in prestigious competitions in China including the Tsinghai Piano Competition, the Pearl River Kaysburg International Youth Piano Competition, and the Steinway Piano Competition. She also received awards from the Satori and VOCE competitions.
In 2022, she won the Southern California Philharmonic Concerto Competition and was invited to perform the first movement of Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 20 with the Southern California Philharmonic Orchestra. In the summer of 2023, she performed the complete concerto with the Algarve Symphony Orchestra at the Piano Concerto Festival in Faro, Portugal.
In addition to her performance accomplishments, she serves as a Southern California Philharmonic Young Artist Alumni Ambassador, participating in volunteer music activities and other community events.
She has studied under several piano teachers and currently continues her musical training with Rina Dockshitsky.
